enabling blog comments

September 2, 2010

To make things easier on all of us, you need to make sure that your blog is set up so your classmates’ comments will show up automatically.  That way, your grade for commenting on someone else’s blog isn’t help up by them having to ‘approve’ its posting.

To get your blog set up to automatically post comments, first log in to your blog at wordpress.com.

At the very top, go to My Blog > Dashboard.

Then scroll down to Settings > Discussion (on the left side, at the very bottom).

Then make sure on that page that under the Before a comment appears section that both of these are UNCHECKED: “An administrator must always approve the comment” and “Comment author must have a previously approved comment” (see below)  THEN MAKE SURE you scroll all the way down and click the blue Save Changes button!

Please email me to confirm that you’ve updated these settings.  Thank you!
